Description:
Any challenges in synchronizing field data with the cloud server, be it from the cloud server to the mobile devices on the field or vice versa.
Causes:
Unstable internet or mobile connections causing interruptions in automatic data syncing
Server downtime due to planned or unplanned maintenance
Bugs or errors present in Codifi’s software
Solutions:
Check Internet Connectivity: Ensure you have a stable connection. If you’re in a low-signal area, try syncing data later when you have better connectivity.
Server Status: Verify if there’s scheduled maintenance or unplanned downtime by checking for Codifi email notifications or the Codifi Service Page.
Software Update: Ensure that your application is updated to the latest Codifi version to avoid any bugs that may interrupt syncing.
Device Compatibility: Check if your device meets the application’s requirements for optimal performance. Currently, Codifi only operates on iOS mobile devices.
Error Reporting: If you encounter a specific error message or bug, take a screenshot and report it to Codifi’s support team with detailed information for further investigation and resolution.
Exporting and Analysis Difficulties
Description:
Issues are experienced while exporting data from projects or records within Codifi. Post-export, discrepancies are observed in the data, impacting the accuracy of subsequent reporting and analysis.
Causes:
User Error: Mistakes made by team members, such as incorrect data entry or misinterpretation of the record reporting tools, can lead to inaccurate reports.
Syncing Issues: Incomplete data synchronization due to field members being in areas with unstable or no internet service can prevent essential data from uploading to the cloud.
Bugs or errors: These can interrupt or prevent the proper export of data.
Solutions:
Check Data Inputs: Verify the accuracy of the data entered, ensuring the right data is input in the correct fields and cross-check that all necessary data has been entered.
Consistent Data Entry Practices: Establish and maintain standard procedures for data entry. This can include training sessions for staff to ensure everyone is entering data in a consistent manner.
Anticipate Connectivity for Field Members: Field members operating in remote locations may experience intermittent or slow internet connections, which can delay data syncing. Rest assured that Codifi’s mobile app will save data while offline, and syncing will resume effectively once field members return to areas with better connectivity.
Service Check: Encourage field members to regularly check for and return to areas with stable internet service to ensure data syncing.
